The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida is applying on behalf of our families for COVID-19 emergency assistance through the Global Down Syndrome Foundation relief grant – cycle 2
These grants are specifically to help individuals with Down syndrome and their families who have an immediate tangible financial need as a result of Down syndrome and the COVID-19 pandemic and are unable to obtain timely help through other social service channels. Examples of permissible grant uses are medicine, medical bills, heating bills, rent, utilities, or food needs associated with illness and/or loss of employment.
Grant assistance amount and decisions will be awarded by The Global Down Syndrome Foundation and NOT DSACF. Families are eligible to receive up to $1,000. Applying for this grant does not guarantee funding.

WhizKIDS boxes are designed to keep our loved ones engaged in creating, celebrating and exploring all kinds of activities, topics and themes from the safety of their home. Each kit will also provide therapeutic-like opportunities including sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, and STEM exercises.
Calling all teens and adults! Join us for Club 321 on weekdays at 5pm. Each day we’ve got fun activities such as zumba, charades, virtual picnics, arts and crafts, and more!
Join us every Friday at 11am on Zoom as Miss Tori teaches us basic sign language. Sign language can be an amazing tool for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to communicate with!
A special 3 night workshop for teen siblings, led by Hollywood actor/director and sib, Brian Donovan (www.briandonovan.org)!
He will lead those who join on exploratory discussions about the good, the bad, and everything in between about being a sib. This is your chance to let it out with support and without judgement. This is about you— not your sib.
