Hi! My name is Rebecca Samaan and I have worked with central Florida children and families as an occupational therapist since 1997. My experience shifted in 2007 with the birth of my second child, a sweet snuggly baby girl with Down syndrome. Despite my professional background, the personal learning curve was steep. My family was lovingly embraced by the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. In an instant we gained a huge extended family of supporters, resources, educators, friends, and cheerleaders. This has truly improved the trajectory of our lives. For that, DSACF will always hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful that I can now give back and affect the path for other families like mine. I am exited to be a part of the DSACF auction team and to advance our commitment to providing programs, resources, and advocacy for families in the central Florida Down syndrome community. I am blessed with three kiddos emerging into adulthood, a loving husband, and two pups who constantly keep me on my toes! In my down time, I enjoy tennis, travel, crafting, baking, and spending time with family.
