Welcome to the biggest celebration in Central Florida for individuals with Down syndrome and their families!
As the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida’s largest fundraising event of the year, the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk provides critical funding that allows DSACF to offer more than 70 programs and events supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families at every stage of life. Funds raised help sustain programs such as:
Early Childhood Development – Programs like Baby Basics and Musical Munchkins that support early communication, motor skills, and developmental milestones.
Youth Enrichment – Inclusive activities such as Karate Kids, Buddy Up Tennis, art, music, and recreation programs that build confidence and friendships.
Teen Programs – Social skills classes and activities that help teens develop independence, self-advocacy, and life skills.
Adult Life Skills & Wellness – Programs like Empowering Independence,Zumba, kickboxing and social gatherings that support meaningful, connected lives for adult self-advocates.
Family Support & Community Events – New Parent Baskets, hospital outreach, educational workshops, and family events that help families navigate every stage of the journey.
Through the Step Up Walk, our community helps ensure these life-changing programs remain accessible to the more than 1,200 families we serve across Central Florida.
