The DSACF annual Down to Party & Auction is an evening of glamour and FUNdraising! Each year, over 250+ members from our community come together for the purpose of raising money for the DSACF Success Center. The evening is filled with dinner, drinks and dancing with both live and silent auctions. The Success Center is vital to hundreds of families in central Florida who utilize our space and call us their second home.
All auction proceeds will be used to support services and programs throughout Central Florida for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families. Our programs include New Parent Outreach and New Family Celebration, Sign Language and Occupational Therapy classes, Teens ‘Start with Hello’ social skills class, Entrepreneur Academy, Pre-K Readiness, Special Clinic for Special Kids, our Resource Lending Library and Much More!
2020 Guest Speaker: Faith-Christina Duncan. Faith-Christina Duncan is 20 years old and the CEO of her own business, Imperfect Creations. She started quilting as a form of therapy and made it into an online business over 5 years ago. She has made and donated several quilts to different organizations, Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida being one of them.
“I make and donate baby blankets to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. They are put into the newborn baskets that are given to parents that just had a baby diagnosed with Down syndrome. Parents can see what an individual with Down syndrome is capable of achieving. Living with an extra chromosome does not hurt me but helps me to love more and have the compassion for others. I am a determined person and will continue to strive to help others and succeed at whatever I do.” – Faith-Christina
